Recruiting exclusively or using a number of agencies?

Categories: Recruitment ,

We deal exclusively with a number of clients which, in our opinion and theirs, saves time, money and means we find better people for them. It’s a win-win. But explaining this concept to new clients can often be difficult. There’s a cynicism – which we kind of understand. But really, when you look at it, it’s a no-brainer!

Let’s assume we have built up a healthy amount of trust, credibility and rapport through an ongoing relationship, in-depth initial discussion, referral, or maybe you’ve jus t read a few of our blogs and realised we know what we’re talking about! You’re in recruiting mode – someone has just resigned or you’re looking to grow the team. You think about putting it out on your LinkedIn updates but you realise you’re going to get bombarded by hopefuls and a raft of recruitment agencies you’ve never heard of before all claiming to be specialists… And then, you haven’t really got time to manage all of that because you’ve got the day job to do.

Your best option is to deal with one recruitment business exclusively. This is where we have the most mutually successful working relationship. The reason this works for both parties is as follows:

For Clients

  • You get to deal with one person that manages the whole process rather than a number of different agencies all competing for your time

  • You only need to brief one person which saves you time

  • That briefing, by default, will be more thorough than speaking to a number of agencies

  • The understanding of your requirements will be clearer

  • The shortlist will be better as we will interview all of the candidates

  • Organising interviews will be more efficient as we will know all of the candidates diaries as well as yours

  • We will be closer to the candidates so will know how enthusiastic they are for your role

  • We are more likely to successfully recruit the role first time

  • All of this will save you time and let you get on with the other parts of your job

  • Overall this makes the recruitment process more efficient

  • You will not pay more than if you dealt with a whole raft of agencies

And for Us

  • We have your commitment – you get ours – 100%

  • We invest more time in your role because we are guaranteed to successfully recruit it

  • Once we’ve done a great job you’re more likely to refer us to peers and colleagues

Of course, you’re going to have some concerns. You may be worried you wouldn’t get the breadth of shortlist however with over 20 years experience and relationships in this industry and our Global Account Partnership with LinkedIn we’re confident we’ve got the market covered. You might think it’s quicker to recruit if you go out to lots of agencies but that’s rarely the case.

So, there’s our case for using us exclusively. You’ll get better results, more quickly, more efficiently and, to be frank, you’ll enjoy it more.
