Why I’m happy to be back and setting my sights on Financial Services

As recruiters, we sometimes tell candidates to be careful about going back to a previous employer because the reasons for leaving in the first place might raise their ugly heads again. This couldn't be further from the truth for me; I'm back working for Network Marketing after more than a decade and I couldn't be happier. The reasons why we parted company were purely personal and I had nothing but praise and admiration for the team. I still do. I'm delighted to see that whilst the business has grown and gone from strength to strength it has retained the same feel.

I’ve come home

Since leaving I've experienced a few different careers, having worked as a Marketing Manager, Account Handler and Teacher, but my love for Network Marketing never truly left me. It was the company I benchmarked all other employers against and whilst I've been fortunate to work for some great companies, none could come close. I feel like I've come 'home' and it's a great feeling to be back in Leeds, a city which I've missed.

Network Marketing’s strong values

Network Marketing was, and still is, a company with strong values at its heart. It has always employed genuine people who really care and want to make a positive difference to clients and candidates alike. It was never about making a quick quid, thankfully, and after only a short time back I can already see that the team are still big on building long term relationships. I can see this when I look back at some of the candidates I placed all of those years ago. Many have been placed again since, with some converting to clients.

Helping marketing candidates and clients in Financial Services

I'm currently trying to track old candidates and clients to rekindle a few relationships but I'm also looking forward to making new connections. I’m delighted to be operating within the financial services industry and over the next few weeks I'll be making contact with as many clients and candidates as possible in the sector. I'll be covering roles in Yorkshire, the North East and the East Midlands. Whilst the industry has gone through a lot of changes since I left I'm confident that I can pick up where I left off - with a lot more marketing experience behind me giving me a far greater appreciation for the challenges faced by those I'm tasked with helping.

Let’s have a chat

As I sit here I can still remember my first placement and how great it felt. The feeling that you've secured someone their dream job is unrivalled and I can't wait to experience it again. So if you're looking for a new role in financial services, or to fill a position, why not get in touch. I'd love to hear from you so call 0113 2469605 or email nhemmings@networkmarketingjobs.com.

Nadia made a big impression on us when she first started with Network Marketing as a Graduate, progressing quickly to the ranks of Senior Consultant. Now a decade later she’s returned, like the prodigal daughter, with a wealth of marketing experience under her belt, having worked as an Account Handler and Marketing Manager, as well as a Primary School Teacher in her hometown of Hull. Now she’s back in Leeds and helping to match clients and candidates across the financial services sector.
