It’s the start of Leeds Business Week which means it’s the start of 100 events taking place across the city over the next five days. This morning the week kicked off with Social Media on Toast organised by The Yorkshire Mafia.
Gen Larkin, our Social Media and PR Specialist and Georgia Haysom, our Marketing Executive, went along to Everyman Cinema to represent the Network Marketing team and had a great morning learning how to keep up with other businesses on social media.
After a bacon butty and a bit of networking, the event kicked off with a discussion panel with Jonny Ross from Fleek Marketing, Joel Spence from twentysix agency, Jenny Taylor from Vivid North and Tina Ruddy from Ruddy Marvellous Marketing Solutions who all had really interesting ideas on getting the most out of social media.
The panel discussed the power of reviews in businesses and how a review strategy is needed to make sure reviews work well for your business as well as looking at the best tools for social reporting and collating data from across all social platforms.
Topics also included how important reaction time on Facebook is to customers and how creating a chatbot on Facebook can keep that response rate up. The discussion was also around getting the best out of various social media for different businesses and which ones are worth investing your time into.
Social media on toast was a great event and a good start to Leeds Business Week!
