Are you TOO comfortable in the workplace?

Are you stuck in a job that no longer inspires you? Are your day-to-day work responsibilities becoming more and more mundane? Is your glass currently half empty instead of half full? Having been in a similar situation myself in the past, I know all too well how it feels to get stuck in a ‘comfortable rut’ in the workplace.

You’ll recognise the feeling of rolling out of bed after snoozing your alarm about 27 times and rocking up to the office uninterested, uninspired and undervalued. You plough through your tasks practically blindfolded, kidding yourself that you’re still ‘going places’! Deep down you know you need to dive head first into a new challenge before you slowly become part of the furniture. It’s an internal battle; take the easy route or take the plunge?

As a recruiter specialising within the PR & digital agency sector across the North West I know this’ll resonate, particularly at the Account Manager level. The PR industry is booming around here at the moment, with established agencies growing rapidly and new agencies springing to life. There is no need to be in that ‘comfortable rut’. If this is the case, I urge you to take a look at what is out there, there’s no harm in looking and I honestly believe you’ll like what you see.

Look beyond your desktop screensaver and your Facebook newsfeed and step out of your comfort zone. In the long run, it will be worth it!

With so many of the top PR agencies fishing for Account Managers at the moment, now is the time, pre-Christmas, to find your new challenge.

Timing is crucial! There’s no need to wait until January when the world and his dog are applying for every job under the sun. Here at Network Marketing we’re celebrating our 20th birthday - with 20 years of experience, we know how to get you sorted in a new job before Christmas. December is typically a quieter month workwise, giving employers more time to spend settling you into the business. It’s a great time to meet the team and get to know everybody during party season and it just makes your Christmas break that little bit more enjoyable knowing you’re set up for a fantastic 2017! By the time January does come around you’ll be ready to hit the ground running!
