The Bird & Beast, Leeds[/caption]Ohhhh we love a special treat on a Friday lunchtime and today’s treat was extraordinary! Our regular routine is that by about 9.00am on a Friday, Laura is eager to work out what we are doing for lunch and by 11am, the rest of us are getting involved and if there is no decision by about midday, then everyone else starts to get a bit twitchy! Friday's team lunches, are after all – of utmost importance at Network Marketing Towers. Having been in Leeds for a while, we’ve tried most places and have either been summarily dismissive or become avid fans and regular returners! Not an easy group of foodies to please with such different personalities and tastes so there’s always a bit of a buzz when a new place opens and we get to go any try it out. Todays choice: ‘The Bird and Beast’ – not the best name in the world and for the few who are a little more sensitive, possibly a little offputting. Don’t be fooled by the quirky name though, they produce spectacular food. With more and more ‘speciality' restaurants popping up (small menu’s with one of two speciality dishes and a variety of sides) in Leeds, these guys easily compete with the likes of Red’s true BBQ, Kitchen, and The Pit. Great service, decent location, gorgeous chicken and very well priced. Definitely recommended and a big thumbs up from us! We’ll definitely be going back!
